The Organisation was established on 5th June, 1990, initially as Sri Aurobindo Society, Suri Branch and included in the network of Sri Aurobindo Society having its headquarters at Pondicherry. Dr. Jaganmoy Banerjee donated a constructed 3 storied building to the new Society where a Mediataion Hall, Library and Office along with a Computer Room began to function. This came to be the Shalbuni unit of the organization.
In the subsequent years, a single storied building with two parts and a plot of one hectre land were purchased by the organization. A Dairy and other facilities were built up and the process of extension has now become a regular curriculum of the Organisation.
The organization ventured into the cultural front with dramatization of the plays based on works of Sri Aurobindo which it performed at places and received wide applause. Publications and CD/DVD titles were published subsequently.
